Footprints - A song of encouragement inspired by the story written by Mary Stevenson. So often when the world bears down on us with its troubles we feel like we are carrying the whole load by ourselves. We feel all alone and don't know how we'll make it through another day. It's one of those days when there is just one set of footprints in the sand. God is with us always. To listen choose the song on the player above.
What is Truth- These days the truth is pulled and stretched, twisted and spun, blended with fiction and seasoned with rumors. The old saying is, if you repeat a lie often enough people will believe it is the truth. How true that is. After getting to the point where I could hardly watch the evening news without screaming at the set I came to realize that there is only one Truth that matters. Pilate asked the question with a touch of sarcasm. This song is an in your face answer to that rhetorical question.
Coming Home - The promise of a new life to come is what motivated the writing of this song. I borrowed from the book of Ecclesiastes as well as the writings of Paul to set the contrast between what is now and what is to come. We are destined to struggle in this world and Christ is the bridge to the next, where the struggle is over.
Jesus Loves Me - No, you are right, I didn't write this song. But I have been singing it a long, long, time. I sang it as a child and sing it again almost each and every Sunday with the Sunday School children so much so that it has become routine. Only recently have I begun to appreciate it's verse and powerful message. So simple in it's form and truthful in its message that I felt compelled to do something with it. The GLC Sunday School children begin the song, the same way I used to sing it when I was a child. God Bless.
The Lords Prayer - A powerful version of the prayer our Lord taught us to pray. I think you'll like how it builds to the finish.
